Pukarata Chala Hoon Main

Pukarata Chala Hoon Main
Seeking and calling out have I embarked

Gali gali bahaar ki
On roads of spring that are forked

Bas ek chaon zulf ki
One momentary shadow of your tresses I seek

Bas ek nigaah pyar ki
I crave from my love an endearing peek

Ye dillagi ye shokhiyaan salaam ki
That heartfelt flirt , that stylish bow out

Yahin to baat ho rahi hai kaam ki
Yup, that's what we are talking about

Koi to mudh ke dekh legaa is taraf
There must be someone who shall spare me a glance

Koi nazar to hogi mere naam ki
There must be a lovely sight in my life's game of chance

Suni meri sadaa to kis yaqin se
Such earnest has my prayer been heard

Ghataa utar ke aa gayi zamiin pe
The clouds have descended on this parched earth

Rahi yahi lagan to ae dil-E-jawaan
This passion of the tender heart, if it continues

Asar bhi ho rahega ek hasin pe
One beautiful lady must be by it amuse

Itni muddat baad mile ho

Itni muddat baad mile ho
Ah, after awhile we finally toast

Kin sochon mein ghum rahte ho?
What thoughts are you in lost?

Tez hawa ne mujse poocha
The fast wind questioned

"Raeth pe kya likhte rahte ho?"
"What are you trying to write on the sand?"

Kaun si baat hai tum mein aisi?
What is so special about you?

Itni achche kyon lagte ho?
Why do I like you so much?

Hum se na poocho hijr ke kisse
Don't you ask me my tales of separation

Apni kaho, ab tum kaise ho?
Tell me your story, "Now, how are you?"

Koi dost hai na raqeeb hai

Koi dost hai na raqeeb hai,
There are neither friends nor foes here

Tera shehr kitna ajeeb hai.
Your city is a strange deserted sphere

Woh jo ishq tha woh junoon tha,
That love was passion that wouldn't abate

Yeh jo hijr hai ye naseeb hai.
This separation is indeed fate

Yahan kiska chehra padha karoon?
Here, whose face do I read, like I would a rose?

Yahan kaun itna kareeb hai?
Who around here is to my heart so close?

Main kisse kahoon mere saath chal?
Whom do I ask alongside with me tread?

Yahan sab ke sar pe saleeb hai
Everyone here carries a cross on their head

Ay hairat-e-aashiqui

Dum tara dum tara, chashm, chashm-e-nam
Dum tara dum tara, sleepy sleepy eyes

Sun mere humdum
Listen my sweet heart

Hameshaa ishq mein hi jeena
Let us always live in love

Ay hairat-e-aashiqui jagaa mat..
Hey amazing love dont wake us up

Pairon se zameen,zameen lagaa mat..
Let not our feet touch the ground

Kyon Urdu Faarsi bolte ho?
Why do you talk in urdu and Frasi?

Das kehthe ho do tolte ho?
Why do you mention ten and count two?

Jhooton ke Shehanshah bolo na
Dearest emperor of all sweet liars, answer me.

Kabhi jhaankhon meri aankhen
Peer into my eyes

Sunaeye ek daastaan jo honton se khola na
And listen to the tales I can't spin

Do chaar maheeno se lamhon mein
Of late, every breathable moment

Umron ki hisaab bhi hote hain
I am, of aeons spent keeping an account

Jinhen dekhaa nahin kal tak
One whom I hadn't even seen till yesterday

Kahin bhi ab kok mein woh chehren bote hain
I seek to sow thy face in my womb

ye dil ye paagal dil mera - aawaargi

ye dil, ye paagal dil meraa, kyon bujh gaya aawaargi
is dasht mein ek shahr thaa, woh kya hua aawaargi

This heart, this crazy heart of mine;why have you gone languid? Ah!,vagrant you are!
In this desert there was once a bustling city;what happened? Ah!,vagrant you are!

kal shab mujhe be-shakl si awaaz ne chaunka diyaa
main ne kaha tu kaun hai, us ne kaha aawaargi

Yesterday night I was stunned by a faceless voice
When I question "Who are you?"; It answered back "I am your wandering spirit"

ek tu ke sadiyon se mere ham-raah bhi ham-raaz bhi
ek main ke tere naam se naa-aashnaa aawaargi

There is You who havs been my trip mate and my confidant for millenia
Then there is me who is unacquainted with even your name - Ah! vagabond!

ye dard ki tanhaiyaan, ye dasht ka viraan safar
ham log to uktaa gaye apni sunaa, aawaargi

The loneliness of this pain; this journey through autumnal sands
We are are worn out, tell us your story, oh vagrant!

ek ajnabi jhonke ne jab poocha mere gham ka sabab
sehraa ki bheegi raet par main ne likha aawaargi

When the stranger of a wind asked me the cause for my sadness,
I wrote on the wet sands of the desert "Vagrancy"

logon bhalaa us shehar mein kaise jiyenge hum jahaan
ho jurm tanhaa sochnaa, lekin sazaa aawaargi

Tell me how am I to live in that city where
To think alone is a crime; but the punishment in vagrancy!

le ab to dasht-e-shab ki saari vusaten sone lagin
ab jaagna hogaa hamen kab tak bataa aawaargi

Lo, now the vastness of the desert of the night has gone to sleep
Now, how long am I to remain awake? Vagrancy!

kal raat tanhaa chaand ko dekhaa tha maine khwaab mein
“Mohsin” mujhe raas aayegi shaayad sadaa aawaargi

The night before I had seen the lonely moon in my dreams
Dear Moshin, I may not always like this vagrancy!

Kabhi Kitabon Mein

Kabhi kitabon mein phool rakhna
At times you did press those petals into text books

Kabhi darakhton pe naam likhna
At times we sculpted our names on trees

Humen bhi hai yaad aaj tak woh
I do remember even now those days of love

Nazar se harf-e-salaam likhna
When we exchanged silent salutations between our eyes

Woh chand cheharein , woh behki batein
Those lovely faces like the moon; those heart palpitating conversations

Sulagte din te, mehakti ratein
The days were on fire; the nights perfumed

Woh chotte chotte se kaghazon par
On those tiny bits of paper

Mohabbaton ke payam likhna
we wrote messages of childish love

Gulab chehron se dil lagana
Flirting with those rose like faces

Woh chupke chupke nazar milana
Gazing at each other on the sly

Woh aarzoooein ke khwab bunna
Weaving those dreams of desires

Woh kisse-e-natamaam likhna
Writing tales of insignificant infatuations

Gai ruton me Hassan hamara
With passing seasons I became worthless

Bas ek hi to ye mashgala ta
I just had one preoccupation left

Kisike chehro ko subah kehna
To call some lovely face a blissful dawn

Kisi ke zulfon ko shaam likhna

Aur aahista kjiye baatein

Aur aahista kijiye baatein, dhadkane koi sun raha hoga
Speak even more softly for someone may be listening to your heart beats

Lafz girne na paaye honton se, waqt ke haath inko chun lenge
Let not the words drop from your mouth for the hands of time may choose them

Kaan rakhte hain ye dar-o-deewaar, raaz ki saari baat sun lenge
They will hear all your secrets for these doors and walls do have ears

Aise bolo ki dil ka afsana, dil sune aur nigaah doharaaye
Narrate thy hearts affairs such that the heart hears and the eyes repeat in silence

Apne charo taraf ki ye duniya, saans ka shor bhi na sun paaye
Let not this world around us hear even your soft breathing

Aaiye band karle darwaazein, raat sapne chura na le jaaye
Let us lock the door before the night steals away our dreams

Koi jhonka hawa ka aawara, dil ki baaton ko uda na le jaye
Let not that vagabond of whiff of breeze blow away the words in your heart

Aaj itne karib aa jaao , duriyon ka kahi nishaan na rahe
May you come so close to me today, such that there may be no traces of distances

Aise ek dusre me gum ho jayen, faasla koi darmiyaan na rah jaye
Let us get lost in each other, such that there is no distance between us

Aap se gilaa aap ki kasam

Aap se gilaa aap ki kasam
A complaint against you,I swear by you

Sochte rahen kar na sake hum
I thought of, but couldnt commit myself through

us ki kya Khataa ladavaa hai Gham
whats her fault, sadness is incurable

kyuuN gilaa karen charaagar se ham
why would I blame the healer?

ye navaazishen aur ye karam
These touches of kindness and those kind actions

fart-e-shauq se mar na jaaye ham
I am dying amidst this overflowing love

kheNchate rahe umr bhar mujhe
Pulled I have been all my life at two ends

ek taraf Khudaa ek taraf sanam
God on one side and my love on the other

ye agar nahiin yaar kii galii
If this aint my lovers lane,

chalate chalate kyuuN ruk gaye qadam

Yaadh nahi kya kya dhekha

Yaadh nahi kya kya dhekha tha saare manzar bhool gaye
I have forgotten every sight I knew; don't even recollect what all I saw

Uski galiyom se jab loutte apna bhi ghar bhool gaye
Returning through her streets, I forget the way to my own home

Khoob gaye pardes ki apne dheevaaro dhar bhool gaye
Having gone abroad, you have even forgotten the blocks that made your home

Sheeshmahal ne aisa ghera mitti ke ghar bhool gaye
Fascinated by the house of glass you are, you have forgotten our home made of mud

Thujhko bhi jab apni kasme apne vayade yaadh nahi
When you don't even remember your oaths and your promises,

Hum bhi apne khaab theri aankhon mei rakh kar bhool gaye
I better forget my dreams within thy eyes that stay shut

Mujhko jinhomne khathl kiya hai koyi unhei bathlaye Nazir
Nazir, may someone tell her, the one who stabbed me through the heart

Meri laash ke pahloo mein wo apna khanjar bhool gaye
That she forgot her dagger below the feet of my dead body

Kuch is tarah

Kuch is tarah teri palkein meri palkon se mila de
Bring your eye lashes, like this, close to mine

Aansoo tere saare meri palkon pe sajaa de
Let me take away every tear of yours on to these eye lashes of mine

Tu har ghadi har waqt mere saath raha hai
Through all times good and bad, you have been with me

Haan yeh jism kabhi door kabhi paas raha hai
True, we are close at times and at times far far in eternity

Jo bhi gham hain yeh tere unhein tu mera pataa de
Whatever sadness weighs you down, send them my way

Mujhko toh tere chehre pe yeh ghum nahin janchta
I dont think this sadness adorns your face seraphic

Jaayiz nahin lagta mujhe ghum se tera rishta
Illegitimate is your relation with the dark shadow of sadness

Sun meri ghuzarish ise chehre se hataa se
Listen to my plead, free your radian face, let it be cast way

Yeh Tumhari Meri Baathein, Hamesha Yuhin... Chalti Rahe..
These conversations between you and me ...let them continue like this for ever..

Yeh Hamari Mulakate, Hamesha Yuhin... Chalti Rahe..
These meetings of ours ...let them continue like this for ever..

Beete Yuhin Apne Saare Din Raaat
let days and nights pass past us just like that...

Baaton Se Nikalti Rahe Nayi Baaat
let conversations keep generating more conversations

Phir Wahin Baathein Leke Geet Koi... Hum Likhe..
Then let us write some songs from those conversations

Jo Dil Ko... Haan Sab Ke Dil Ko.. Chu Le..
Those conversations..yes those which will touch all hearts

Baathein Suron Mein Yuhin Pighalti Rahen..
Conversations that melt away into melodies just like that

Baathein Geeton Mein Yuhin Dalti Rahen..
Conversations making up songs just like that

Mumma - Kailash Kher

Maa, Meri Maa, Pyaari Maa... Mumaa
Mother, My Mother, Lovely Mother....Oh Mom

Haathon Ki Lakeerien Badal Jayengi
Lines of fate on the palms will change

Gum Ki Yeh Zanjeerein pighal Jayengi
The chains of sadness will melt into nothingness...

Ho Khuda Pe Bhi Asar,Tu Duaon Ka Hai Ghar
You are the home of prayers that can even touch the Almighty!

Bigdi Kismat Bhi Sawanr Jaayegi
Spoilt fate will blossom again

Zindagi Tarane Khushi Ke Gayegi
Life will sing the melodies of happiness

Yun Tu Mein.. Sab Se Nyara Hoon
By the way, I am unique

Par tera Maaa Mein Dulara Hoon
But, I am your pampered child, ain't I ?

Duniya Mein Jeene Se Jyada Uljhan Hai Maaa
Living in society is getting confusingly complicated

Tu Hai Amar Ka Jahan.......
You are the world of immortality

Tu Gussa Karti Hai, Bada Accha Lagta Hai
We feel good when you frown in anger

Tu Kaan Pakadti Hai, Badi Zor Se Lagta Hai
But it does hurt a bit, when you discipline me by the ear !

guncha koi mere naam kar diya

Guncha koi mere naam kar diya.....
She sent me that bouquet of flowers....

Saki ne phir se mera jaam bhar diya...
She filled my heart with yearning again.....

Tum jaisa koi nahi is jahaan mein
There is no one like her in this world

Subah ko teri zulf ne shaam kar diya
Her tresses make night of day

Clueless I was without her around
